On July 9th, Guizhou University hosted a faculty and staff choir performance. The event commemorated the 90th anniversary of the Zunyi Conference, the 80th anniversary of the Victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War, and the centennial of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions. Secretary of the University Party Committee, Yang Wei, Deputy Secretary, Peng Jie, and Vice President Zhang Dalin were in attendance.

The performance, structured in three thematic chapters, showcased the vocal talents of twelve faculty and staff choirs. "Path of Struggle" revisited historical narratives of hardship through traditional pieces performed by College of Zoology, College of Agriculture, College of Foreign Languages, and College of Chemical Engineering. "Light of Truth" highlighted revolutionary idealism with selections from Administrative Departments, College of Forestry, Yangming College, and College of Public Administration. Finally, "Song of Labor" celebrated the achievements and spirit of the working class with performances by College of Mechanical Engineering, College of Resource and Environment Engineering, and College of Management.
The awards ceremony recognized the top twelve faculty and staff teams, selected from an initial thirty-five university-wide labor union participants, with Yang Wei, Peng Jie, and Zhang Dalin presenting first, second, and third place prizes. The event featured performances by the retired faculty and staff choir singing "I Love You, China," College of Music Choir performing "The Zunyi Conference Shines Brightly," and concluded with a choral rendition of "Ode to the Motherland."
